  • Harps Notes 10th February 2020

The Harps Lotto jackpot, now £3800, was not won on Sunday night. The numbers drawn were 14, 21, 27 and 29. £20 consolations each went to Nancy & Anthony, c/o Hughie Keaney, Teresa Walmsley, Enniskillen, and Mark Kelly, c/o Fergus. We are in The Cosy Bar on Sunday night, with Brendy, Mary and Aidy on duty.

Good luck to our Under 19s who start their league campaign at home to Tempo this weekend. Please keep an eye on our daily output for up to date fixture details.

The floodlights will be turned on again this Thursday from 7pm to 8pm for the 3rd week of the Ireland-wide GAA initiative. We invite everyone from the community to get together and socialise in a healthy way on these dark winter nights by using this opportunity to walk around the main pitch. A torch or head torch and high vis clothing is recommended. Children are very welcome but must be supervised by a parent or guardian. Unfortunately due to health and safety concerns, we can't accommodate dogs.

Yoga with Jim Fawcett continues this Wednesday from 7-8pm for Beginners and 8.15-9.15pm for Sports. New faces always welcome. Our teenfit class for secondary school girls, coached by Jackie Cassidy, continues this Thursday from 7-7.45pm. £1 per class. The final circuits session for our boys group takes place next Monday evening at 8pm. This has been a very successful series of sessions, with great development, particularly in terms of understanding the nature of the training.

People may also have seen a number of Derrygonnelly Harps team posters in local outlets over the last while. These are the final part of our Action Mental Health fundraiser. The charge is £2 each or £5 for 3. The posters were kindly donated by the Print Factory. We hope to add the money from this to the money from the car wash in December and forward to Action Mental Health quite soon.

Finally, it was with sadness that our club members heard of the passing of Mr Brendan Lilley last weekend. Mr Lilley had a number of relatives connected to our club, and was always very supportive of us in terms of sponsorship as well. Mrs Margaret Nevin from Enniskillen also passed away last weekend, an aunt of the Ward family. We extend our sympathies to the families of the deceased.
