Harps News 15th May 2017

posted 17 May 2017, 08:18 by Derrygonnelly Harps

The Harps Lotto jackpot, now £8400, was not won on Sunday night. The numbers were 9, 12, 14 & 16. £20 each went to Declan Boyle, Derrygonnelly, Mark McGoldrick, Enniskillen and James Tummons, Newtownbutler. We are in Doogies this Sunday night, with Donal Corrigan and Gerard Maguire plus Mary on duty.

On the back of our Four County cycle, we wish to take the opportunity here to express many thanks to a very large number of people for enabling us to look back on such a successful event now. We are grateful to each of our participants for their support, for the very generous sponsorship which we received, for the fantastic volunteers who helped out on Saturday in various marshalling, catering, medical or admin roles. A special mention to our organising committee, who put a great deal of time and energy into the whole event. We are pleased to be able to say that it was very successful in every respect.

Hard luck to our Under 16 girls, who lost out to Belnaleck in a cracking league final on Sunday, full of attacking play and effort from two very admirable teams. Our girls can be proud of the progress that they are making as footballers. Our Under 14 girls have their first game this Wednesday so good luck to them in their campaign.

Please note that our bottom pitch is closed this week, and indeed probably next week, due to ongoing maintenance work.

Finally, it was with sadness that all Harps members became aware of the passing of Mrs Annie Herrity in Grange, Sligo last week. Sincere condolences are expressed to the Dundas family.
