Harps Notes 10th April 2017

posted 10 Apr 2017, 04:21 by Derrygonnelly Harps

The Harps Lotto jackpot, now £7800, was not won on Sunday night. The numbers were 13, 24, 25 and 29. £20 each went to Damien Lee, Teemore, Peter McGowan, Blaney, and Seamus McAloon, Garrison. We are in Doogies this Sunday night, with John and Louise plus Mary on duty. Thank you to promoters and supporters of the Lotto.

Please note that club membership is now payable at £20 adult, £30 family and £10 youth.

We had three teams out over the weekend at adult level, with wins for the seniors at home to Teemore and the Junior As at home to Devenish, but a tough hour for the Junior Bs away to Irvinestown. This weekend sees our seniors away to Lisnaskea on Saturday evening, and our Juniors away to Skea again and at home to Aghadrumsee on Sunday at 4pm. It would be reasonable to assume, that those junior fixtures just might be subject to change if possible, so please check club online output to confirm.

The cycle on May 13th is on the radar now, and last weekend clearly saw a lot of people moving the preparations up a bit, with longer spins to get the miles in the legs. Boho's Rock Road would have reminded you of Alpe d'Huez in July, such was the number of people powering up towards the chapel. It is great to see so many people getting ready for what will prove to be a great event. We have the cycling jersey design finished, and soon to be released. Remember there are three routes available, 10k loop plus 50k and 100k spins. We look forward to a great support from our own area and beyond for this one.

Sunday morning Footy got off to a great start on Sunday, with well in excess of one hundred youngsters on our pitches. Thank you very much to the people who have committed to coach the four groups for the year ahead, and we are very keen to have as much help as possible around the groups, especially our P1 &2 area, who need that wee bit of extra steering! We are off this Easter Sunday, and back on the field on April 23rd.

Finally, it was with sadness that our club membership heard of the passing of Gabriel Dolan in Enniskillen last weekend. We extend to the entire Dolan family our condolences.
