The Harps Lotto, now £7400, was not won on Sunday night. The numbers were 8, 11, 12 and 26. £20 each went to Aidan and Grace Meehan, Monea, Catherine McCorry, Derrylin, and Seamus Greenan, Garrison. The draw on Monday March 6th saw numbers drawn 5, 9, 22 and 30 with £20 each to Brian Leonard, Julie Ferguson, both Derrygonnelly, and Mary McCartin, Banbridge. We are in Doogies this Sunday night, with Aidy McGovern and John Maguire on duty with Mary.
This week, the Health and Wellbeing Committee presented Horizon West’s Heather Gott with a cheque for £915. The money was raised through the club’s Couch to 5K programme last year. Thanks to all the Couch to 5K participants, especially those who raised additional sponsorship. Details of this year’s programme will be announced soon with registration commencing early in June. Maybe some of our Couch to 5Ker’s might like to try a new sport before then through the club’s fundraising cycle which will take place on 13 May. This event has generated quite a lot of interest locally, and the word from cycling experts is that now is the time to start getting the miles in the legs. We have three routes to choose from, the 10k, 50k or 100k four county challenge.
Our Minors had a good win on Sunday against Belnaleck, in a match which was in the balance right to the end. Their next game is on the afternoon of March 25th against Enniskillen Gaels. Our Under 14s are away to Teemore this Saturday afternoon. Our Primary Six Under 10s are playing in the Half time exhibition game this Sunday at Brewster Park. Please contact Brendy on 66341164 or 07968330542 to confirm attendance, and receive full details on assembly points etc.
Finally, good luck to our adult teams who take to the field this weekend for the start of the 2017 season. Our Junior A and Junior B squads are away against Teemore and Derrylin respectively, with both matches at 11.30 am.
