Harps Notes 15th October 2018

posted 15 Oct 2018, 04:19 by Derrygonnelly Harps

The Harps Lotto jackpot, now £8600, was not won on Sunday night. The numbers were 7, 21, 22 & 26. £20 went to P Maguire, Belleek, The Knockmore Hillbillies, and Lorcan McVeigh, Galbally. We are in The Linnett Inn on Sunday night, with Gerald Greene and Anthony Murphy on duty with Mary.

Well done to our Minor Ladies team, who had a good win over Knockninny on Sunday evening in the championship, and now meet Kinawley in the final on a date to be announced. Our Under 13 girls are still preparing for one final blitz presently.

Our Under 17 boys bowed out of their championship in dramatic circumstances when they lost out to Enniskillen Gaels in the final minute of their quarter final on Saturday. The boys put in a great effort overall, and prepared with real diligence for the game. Defeats like that can often provide a useful reference point for the future and the lads and their management deserve every praise for how they went about their business over the last number of weeks.

All roads lead to Clones this Sunday as the Harps are out in the Ulster Club Championship against Scotstown. The game takes place at 2.30pm in Clones, and as ever all support for the team would be much appreciated.

Finally, it was with sadness that Harps members heard of the passing last week of Pat Maguire, Sydare and Monea. Condolences are extended to the Jones family on their loss.
