Harps Notes 23rd July

posted 23 Jul 2018, 02:51 by Derrygonnelly Harps
The Harps Lotto jackpot, now £6200, was not won on Sunday night. The numbers drawn were  6, 10, 20 & 26. There were £20 wins for Darcy Carroll, Derrygonnelly,  Orla Lunny, Enniskillen and Martin McTernan, Garrison.
It is a busy spell for our teams, no bad thing. We had two senior fixtures last weekend and picked up two wins against Tempo and Ederney. A double set of games again this weekend against Lisnaskea and St Pats. The St Pats' game seems likely to have a changed throw-in time on Sunday for a multitude of reasons, so please keep an eye out for this. Our juniors are away to Enniskillen Gaels and our thirds are up against Brookeborough at home, both games on Saturday evening. The thirds lost out to Belcoo last weekend. Our Under 17s host Kinawley on Wednesday night and our Under 13s host St Pats on Saturday morning. Our Under 14 girls are training away in preparation for the fixing of their league final. Thanks to all of our coaches who looked after our Under 8s and Under 10s at the Go Games last Saturday in Lissan. It was a great day, with piles of games.
Please note that there will be NO Sunday Morning Football this week.
As part of its ongoing Health & Wellbeing programme, the club will host Action Cancer's BIG BUS during Cul Camp on the 3rd of August in Canon Maguire Park. Appointments run from 9:30am – 3.20pm. Anyone wishing to book an appointment can do so using the online booking service at www.actioncancer.org/appointments or by calling Action Cancer on 028 9080 3344 and selecting Option 1. Phone lines are open from 8am-8pm Monday - Friday and 9am-5pm Saturday . The BIG BUS provides Breast Screening and MOT health checks and everyone is welcome.
In terms of breast screening, if you are a woman aged 40-49 or 70+, you are eligible to make an appointment for Breast Screening on the BIG BUS. The charity is the only place in Northern Ireland for women outside of the NHS screening age range to avail of a breast screening for free, so this is a great opportunity. The screening takes only a few minutes and, for the majority of women, provides peace of mind.
The MOT Health Checks are open to anyone aged 16+ and are a great way to get a current picture of your health. The check takes about 20 minutes and you will receive a variety of tests, such as blood pressure and cholesterol. You will also stand on the body composition scales to receive a print out of details such as muscle mass, hydration levels, fat around your organs, and BMI. The Health Promotion Officer carrying out your assessment will be able to provide advice and information about lifestyle improvements and cancer prevention.
Please note that we are hosting the Cul Camp from July 30th to August 3rd and places can be booked online on
Finally, the club would like to express its sympathies to the family of Mrs Rene Maguire, Creamery Road, who passed away last week.
