Harps Notes 25th September 2018

The Harps Lotto jackpot, now £8000, was not won on Monday night. The numbers were 17, 18, 22 and 23. £20 each was then won by Kathleen Boyle, Kinawley, Raymond Gregg, Belleek, and Hugh McGinty, Belleek. We are in Doogies this Sunday night, with Aidy McGovern, John Maguire and Mary Cox on duty.

Particularly at underage level, there is a sense that we are coming towards the end of the season, with only our Minor and Under 13 girls, plus the Under 17 boys still on the go. Our Under 13 boys finished up their campaign last Friday night against Irvinestown. They have put in a super effort, and never backed off when results were proving hard to come by. Thanks a lot to Dom and Marty, plus Giles and Nigel, for their work with the lads. We also finished our Sunday morning footy sessions last weekend with a bumper turnout. These sessions are a great success, thanks to a super commitment from our coaches. Thanks so much to them all. There is still an internal competition to be played out amongst our Under 10s and Under 12s, with mid October a possibility for this. Our Under 17 season has a while to run yet, with our championship final against Enniskillen Gaels to be refixed. Last week's game was unfinished following an injury to a young Gaels' player, to whom our club extends every good wish for  a continued recovery.

Finally, it is a massive weekend for our club with three teams competing in big games. Our Ladies are up on early Saturday afternoon against Trillick in the Ulster Club Championship at Canon Maguire Park, followed by a double header on Sunday in Brewster Park on Sunday. Good luck to our Under 17s who are in their league final against Kinawley at 2pm followed by our seniors who are playing in the county final at 4pm against St Josephs. Let’s do our best to get a bit of colour out, and cheer our teams on to do their very best, as Harps supporters always do. Good luck to all of our teams!
