Gavin Duffy. Ex club secretary, tough nut no nonsense defender on the St Colmcilles 1982 U16 championship runners up team, current front man at most club functions, and a very good one at that. A mainstay of the Harps for many years, doing endless unseen work. The injury in this picture was probably sustained when he made one of his many classic off the cuff remarks at the new clubhouse!!
NAME: Gavin Duffy.
AGE: I am a 1960s model.
FAVOURITE POSITION? Horizontal, with my eyes closed.
FAVOURITE HARPS PLAYERS FROM THE PAST (YOU ARE ALLOWED THREE AND A BRIEF COMMENT ON EACH WOULD BE WELCOME)
Tony Gallagher was a very talented player who was very accurate with the frees.
Sean Flanagan, who captained a panel of players alongside Hugh Kelly and Donal Fee, bringing the very first championship to Derrygonnelly. Nearly 20 years later and so many of that group are active in our club. Fair play to them.
FAVOURITE HARPS GAME AND WHY?
2009 Championship finals v Roslea. Great senior game and atmosphere under the lights. The Harps did the double. The DVD of the senior game with Gerard Treacy and John McElroy is great.
FAVOURITE CURRENT FERMANAGH PLAYERS? (YOU ARE ALLOWED TWO)
Ryan Jones and Paul Ward – two Harps men and well worth their places!
FAVOURITE FERMANAGH PLAYERS FROM THE PAST? (YOU ARE ALLOWED TWO AND A BRIEF COMMENT IS ENCOURAGED)
Peter McGinnity, probably the best Fermanagh has ever produced. His goal in 1982 was brilliant. People say Donal Fee was a good defender, but I am too young to remember that clearly.
FAVOURITE INTER-COUNTY FOOTBALLERS? (TWO ALLOWED)
Dessie Dolan and Oisin Mc Conville.
WHAT ANNOYS YOU IN THE GAA?
Refs who think Gaelic Football is a non contact sport.
PAT SPILLANE OR JOE BROLLY?
MARTIN MCHUGH OR JARLATH BURNS?
DO YOU HAVE A FAVOURITE SOCCER PLAYER? (WE ARE HAPPY TO ACCEPT ONE PAST, ONE PRESENT)
Messi now, Liam Brady when I was younger.
FAVOURITE MUSIC? (THIS QUESTION IS COMPULSORY!)

Potatoes, sausages, bacon, cabbage, an egg and some butter.
FAVOURITE TV PROGRAMME? (COMPULSORY!)
