Pauric McGurn

Pauric McGurn
Pauric was the Junior team captain in 2012, lifting the cup in Brewster Park and treating us all to one of his many eloquent yet witty speeches. Pauric has played most of his football in the Junior team, but had an excellent match for the seniors away to Lisnaskea in a crunch match last year. He was in danger of becoming known for his diving antics to con referees when he played in the forwards, but now he is known as an experienced, safe corner back and a good leader on the pitch and off it. Pauric has recently returned to some GAA journalism, and he is no mean match analyst.

Garry Smyth - A great unselfish player.

Tuesday August 7th JFC Final.

To captain 32 players to a Championship was a great feeling which I can have forever.

FAVOURITE CURRENT FERMANAGH PLAYERS? (YOU ARE ALLOWED TWO)

Tommy McElroy – Work rate is just unreal.

Johnny Woods – Unreal engine, plays at corner back but gets on the scoresheet like a forward.

FAVOURITE FERMANAGH PLAYERS FROM THE PAST? (YOU ARE ALLOWED TWO)

Collie Curran - Stalwart and always great to chat in the Gaels clubhouse after any Fermanagh game.

Tommy OCallaghan - A great defender, who loves his football and his farming. A type of God to me!

FAVOURITE INTER-COUNTY FOOTBALLERS? (TWO ALLOWED)

Karl Lacey – He wears white boots and nobody minds!

Seanie Johnston – Was chatting him one night in Cavan town and he bought me a drink, enough said!

WHAT ANNOYS YOU IN THE GAA?

At local level = At Fermanagh games too many people go through the gates without paying at Brewster Park.

Teams not having a scoreboard, ie Newtownbutler,

Not enough done at County board meetings in relation to Junior players. For example the 2012 Final was played on a Tuesday night, words fail me regarding this!!!! Saturday/Friday evening Finals are the only way!

At County Level = Saturday Feb 2nd NFL starts off but the All Ireland Champions are first up, surely the All Ireland Champions should be the main attraction, to much catering for the Dubs.

Players should not be allowed to transfer from Counties. (I will still keep that drink but Seanie).

Joe Brolly

MARTIN MCHUGH OR JARLATH BURNS?

Martin McHugh

DO YOU HAVE A FAVOURITE SOCCER PLAYER?

FAVOURITE HOLIDAY DESTINATION?

When I was younger it was great getting the cows milked early and heading to Bundoran for the evening to play the amusements.

Holidays to Tenerife and Gran Canaria with great lively Harps men like Eamon McHugh, Niall Jones, Freddie Maguire, Stephen Jones, Peter and Noel Gallagher

YOU WIN THE HARPS LOTTO, WHAT WILL YOU BUY YOURSELF?

A few more cows to go with my 4 black white heads, 2 Charlies and 1 blue semental.
